Fees & Figures earns affiliate commissions. This page explains exactly how, in compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255).

The short version

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and later pay for that product, the company pays us a commission. You pay exactly the same price either way. Nothing is added to your bill.

How it works

• Clicking an affiliate link stores a cookie in your browser identifying us as the referrer.
• If you start a paid plan within that cookie's window — usually 30 to 90 days — the company records the sale and pays us a share.
• How long we keep getting paid is set by the company, not by us, and it is different at every one of them. The exact terms are below.
• We never see your payment details, your account, or your personal information. We only see aggregate counts in the affiliate network dashboard.

Which companies can pay us

We have affiliate arrangements with:

• Kajabi — they pay us 30% of what you pay them, for as long as that customer keeps paying. Not confirmed: this comes from their application page and we have not been able to re-check it inside the dashboard.
• Thinkific — they pay us 30% of what you pay them, once, on the first payment only. Not confirmed: their dashboard shows a single payout and their approval email calls the same commission recurring; until they tell us which is right, we assume the smaller one.
• Teachable — they pay us 30% of what you pay them, for up to 12 months, then it stops.
• Kit — they pay us 50% of what you pay them, for 12 months; after that, only if we refer at least 10 paying customers a year, which we have not done so far. Not confirmed: the figure is from the offer heading in the partner dashboard; we have not yet opened the offer details.
• beehiiv — they pay us 50% of what you pay them, for up to 12 months, then it stops.
• Kartra — they pay us 40% of what you pay them, for up to 12 months, then it stops. Not confirmed: the figure is from the offer heading in the partner dashboard, and Kartra's public partner page says "up to" 40%; we have not yet opened the offer details.
• Payhip — they pay us 50% of what you pay them, for as long as that customer keeps paying.
• systeme.io — they pay us 60% of what you pay them, for as long as that customer keeps paying.

Payment reaches us through the network each company runs its program on: Kajabi Partner, PartnerStack, beehiiv, Payhip, systeme.io. We do not pick the network, and none of them sees an article before you do.

We expect to apply to these. Nothing has been sent, so nothing is pending. They are listed so you can see where this is heading before it gets there — and so that "applied for" keeps meaning that an application exists.

Applied for and turned down

• Podia

We applied to these programs and were not accepted. We earn nothing from them, and we still write about them the same way. We list them because the alternative — quietly dropping the name — would leave you unable to tell the difference between a company we chose not to cover and one that turned us down.

How this affects what we write

Honestly: a commission is an incentive, and pretending otherwise would be worse than disclosing it. Here is how we contain it.

• We recommend tools we do not earn from when they are the better fit, and we say so in the article.
• Ranking is never sold. No company can pay for a position, a rating, or inclusion.
• Criticism stays. We do not remove a negative finding because a partner asked.
• Every review names who should not buy it. If a tool is wrong for you, saying so is worth more to us than one commission.
• No pre-publication review. Vendors see our articles when you do.

Where disclosure appears

Every article containing affiliate links carries a disclosure at the top, before the first link, where you will see it without scrolling. That is what the FTC requires and what we think is simply fair.
